Curriculum Overview
-
The curriculum for the infant room (7-10 Months) consists of introducing the babies to the theme of the month through songs and play. Because our infants are on an individualized schedule teachers spend their day cuddling, singing, talking, and playing with each child throughout the day.
-
In this room children are introduced to colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet. These concepts are introduced through our monthly themes, and taught during craft, story, and interactive play. In this class children are beginning to eat at tables with friends, and sleep on nap mats.
-
For our two year old rooms, teachers not only reinforce lessons taught in previous rooms, but new ones as well. Our two year old children are reintroduced to colors, the alphabet, numbers, and shapes through our monthly themes. At this age we really encourage circle time as a group. During circle time new concepts are learned. At this stage they begin walking in a line with their teacher, child led sharing with their friends and potty training.
-
Children at this age are introduced to reinforced concepts from previous classes. They begin to recognize the alphabet and numbers, and eventually letters in their own names. In our 3’s and 4’s there are a lot of opportunities for interactive learning with our monthly themes. Our preschoolers are also part of our Good News Club on Tuesdays, and we hope to bring back our Spanish lesson time on Thursdays.

This is our Pre-K classroom. Here they are our example setters in the hallway. In this classroom they are learning to follow directions, write their name, cut, etc. They are introduced to letter sounds, and early reading skills. They are encouraged to learn their phone number and address in case of an emergency. They also take part in our Good News Club on Tuesday and we hope to bring back our Spanish lesson time on Thursdays.
